Genuine Health’s Direct Contracting Entity (DCE)
Genuine Health Direct is Genuine’s newest care delivery model. The Direct Contracting Entity, or DCE, will help doctors drive down healthcare expenditures while simultaneously improving health outcomes and increasing health options for our Medicare beneficiaries.
What Is A DCE?
A DCE is a new care delivery model introduced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Direct Contracting Entities like Genuine Health Direct contract with CMS to deliver healthcare to traditional fee-for-service Medicare beneficiaries aligned with DCE physicians. CMS pays a monthly capitation fee to Genuine Health Direct, and in turn, we’re responsible for delivering the full scope of patient care – at full financial risk.
In addition, if we’re able to provide high-quality care for less than what CMS would have paid through traditional Medicare, we keep 100% of the savings and share that savings with our participating physicians.

A New Way To Share In The Savings
Through Genuine Health Direct, primary care physicians can enjoy the stability, reliability, and consistency of monthly capitation payments for their Medicare patients who are aligned with our DCE. And, because Genuine Health Direct qualifies as an Advanced Alternative Payment Model (APM), our physicians are entitled to a 5% lump-sum bonus based on Part B revenues.
What’s more, participating doctors share in the savings achieved by Genuine Health Direct on an annual basis.
