Leadership Team
Orlando Lopez, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Co-Founder
Dr. Lopez-Fernandez, Jr. co-founded Genuine Health Group with Joe Caruncho and previously led the Clinical Operations and the Medical Management teams.
A board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, Dr. Lopez-Fernandez, Jr. practiced medicine for more than 30 years, and has two decades of managed healthcare experience in the South Florida market. He also served as Chief of Internal Medicine and Chief of Cardiology at both Kendall Regional Medical Center and International Hospital of Miami.
Dr. Lopez-Fernandez, Jr. earned his medical degree from the University of Zaragoza School of Medicine in Spain, and did both his Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
He is a member of multiple medical societies, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a founding member and Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
