When doctors contemplate joining a physician ACO, they’re likely to ask “what’s best for my practice?” We offer help to primary care physicians interested in embracing value-based care, while recognizing their need for maximizing their own personal earnings:

Physician ACOs Are Moving Forward


Participation in organizations like our physician ACO is growing. Recent statistics demonstrate the number of lives covered by all types of ACOs, including ones like our physician ACO, has gone up by almost three million.1 In addition, there was a record-breaking increase in commercial contracts in 2019.

Participation in a physician ACO continues to grow and evolve, and now more doctors participate in ACOs – more than 50 percent of primary care providers. That’s less than a decade after the ACO model was introduced! The highest percentage of doctors in an ACO belonged to a Medicare ACO like Genuine Health Group’s physician ACO – 38.2%.2

Making An Impact 


Genuine Health Group and its providers are dedicated to demonstrating the positive effects of a physician ACO – where everyone benefits, including physicians’ support teams. Doctors signed up for our physician ACO are not directly responsible for reporting required by the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), which is part of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA).

In addition, physicians participating in our physician ACO don’t have to shoulder the responsibility of measuring and reporting quality outcomes. Plus, ACOs like our physician ACO offer even more opportunities for doctors to earn money through higher reimbursement rates and shared savings participation.

Other Incentives

Physicians who participate in our physician ACO earn additional financial incentives for small changes, like scheduling annual wellness visits and providing follow-up care to Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries who are discharged from the hospital.

In addition, we offer support for our practices through unique programs like Genuine Health At Home, which aims to improve outcomes among chronically-ill patients.
