South Florida Business & Wealth recently awarded Genuine Health Group’s Joe Caruncho the “Excellence in Healthcare” award for “Top Healthcare Executive.”
This unique awards program created by SFBW magazine celebrates local leaders and recognizes South Florida as an international epicenter for quality and innovation. Joe Caruncho, CEO of Genuine Health Group, was selected based on his professional achievements, service to the community, and his demonstrated success.
Categories in the competition include healthcare executives, healthcare systems, nursing homes, and research facilities. Nominations are reviewed by a selection committee of editorial staff and industry veterans.
“Succeeding in the healthcare field provides the opportunity to do good while doing well,” said Joe Caruncho in an interview with the publication. “Our focus in both Preferred Care and Genuine Health has focused on enhancing patients’ wellbeing through preventive care […] while also assisting physicians to transition successfully to value-based care, which improves both quality and eliminates unnecessary expenses.”
Genuine Health Group has received additional recognition, including from the South Florida Business Journal, in recent years. The publication featured Genuine Health Group on their top-performing Hispanic-owned businesses list last year, in addition to the “Fastest Growing Company” list.
